This design radically adapts an existing 1950s detached house in a poor state of disrepair, making it suitable for contemporary living. The originally cramped 5-bedroom house has been extended to the rear, allowing for an improved internal layout while offering accommodation for the client’s rare car collection. Externally, the existing clay roof tiles are replaced with slate, while contemporary style windows have been added to subtly improve the building’s appearance.
