Discovery Hotel is a new build 150 room hotel in Dili, East Timor. The majority of the building, which ranges from 7 to 5 storeys high, is designed to be constructed out of a cassette system similar to shipping containers, which are fully fitted in a factory and assembled on site by local builders.

This construction technique has a tremendous advantage over traditional building methods, taking into consideration a local shortage of skilled workers available to work on site and shortening the construction time.
